RESPECTED SIR,

We bring to your kind notice the situation prevailing in VIJAYAWADA due to non shifting of CGHS WELL NESS CENTER of Vijayawada. At present VJA corporation is modifying the entire building due to which it is totally in worst condition. All wash rooms were destroyed and there is even no water supply since long back.

Because of this, at present entire staff including Doctors are working in precarious situation and patients coming for treatment particularly pensioners are facing troubles. Even after two years there is no progress and the Wellness Center is in first floor and even stair case is not being maintained properly and all are facing trouble to go upstairs.

We suggest that at present due to steps taken by the Govt.  Many buildings of BSNL are vacant and they are giving to private firms on rent. We have already suggested that, we can avail that buildings located at VJA one town [two buildings], OR Chuttugunta area to accommodate Wellness Center in one building. After our suggestion discussions took place with BSNL authorities.

But it was informed by Addl.Director that BSNL authorities at higher level are claiming commercial rent which cannot be afforded by cghs and suggested for suitable other accommodation for persuasion.

In this connection we suggest that in P&T QTRS, VJA accommodation is available which can be taken by paying standard rent. If two type-3 quarters side by side or three type-2 qtrs were taken it will be sufficient for CGHS Wellness center. Addl.Director CGHS advised to pursue the matter with competent Postal authorities and inform the situation.

As such kind CPMG is requested to discuss the matter with Addl. Director CGHS and provide accommodation available in qtrs or in any other Departmental building so that all postal employees & pensioners will be released from the difficulties facing at present.

We hope that CPMG will respond immediately and take steps in this regard. An early action and a reply are solicited.

With regards,

Yours faithfully,
