TO
THE HON’BLE PRIME MINISTER
GOVT.OF INDIA
NEW DELHI

                                                     SUB- RESOLUTION ON FREEZING DA-REG
Respected sir,

Unfortunately orders issued to freeze DA of 1-1-2020,1-7-2020 & 1-1-2021 and implemented prospectively from 1-7-2020 to all CG Employees and PENSIONERS which is unethical and not justified. All most all CG employees i.e. Postal,Rlys,Defence,Income tax & other C.G.employees  working as essential service and attending to their duties even in this critical condition. After rendering long service pensioners are getting pension not as grace but as a right as per the Hon’ble Apex Court Judgment in NAKARA case.
Freezing DA is nothing but draconian rule. It is not the wage. It is being decided basing on the price index and paid every six months. Instead if GOVT. supplies daily commodities with less cost even there will not be any need to raise DA. Instead of that freezing DA is nothing but encouraging corporate sector, who were already got crores of rupees from the Govt in the name of waiving off bad debts. Instead of freezing DA to low paid employees that amount should have been withdrawn from corporate sector. But unfortunately this Govt. did not do it, instead started freezing the wages of wage-earners who are working sincerely for the improvement of Indian economy.

In this back ground we request the Hon’ble Prime Minister to rethink this issue and withdraw the decision of freezing DA and issue instructions for immediate payment of 4% DA from 1-1-2020 which was already approved by cabinet immediately or else we will be left with no other option except confrontation and trade union action deemed fit.

Expecting favorable rethinking.

THANKING YOU, SIR

Yours faithfully,

[Y.NAGABHUSHANAM]
